While we’re waiting for Reese, Bradley and all the nominees to hit the red carpet, let talk about the other big star of this year’s Oscars? The food.
This year marks the 21st time that Wolfgang Puck is catering the Oscars annual Governors Ball. The chef took to social media Sunday to show off all the food and intense prep work that goes into feeding Hollywood’s hottest stars at the biggest award show and after party of the year.
So exactly how many pounds of caviar, pieces of brioche and other ingredients go into creating this show-stopping feast? This is the Oscars 2015 food, by the numbers:
6,000 mini brioche buns
Over 11 lbs. of caviar
450 quarts heavy cream
50 lbs. red and striped beets
300 whole jidori chickens
5,000 eggs
3,750 homemade pretzels
30 gallons earl grey ice cream
1,500 assorted mini cookies
Over 1 ton of chocolate
Anything that calls for more than a ton of chocolate and a thousand of cookies is an all-star meal in our books. Let the jealousy commence!
